Jorge Miño: The Fourth Wall

The Museo Moderno proudly presents this exhibition of works by Jorge Miño (Corrientes, 1973), a leading light of contemporary Argentinian photography. In this selection of works carried out between 2018 and the present, Miño employs a variety of photographic procedures to construct unexpected realities. His images summon impossible volumes, expanding angles and vanishing points, which intersect in a geometry seemingly unbounded by the two-dimensional plane. Standing before these works, the viewer is an active presence defining the image through a gaze in motion. Every position reveals a new perspective, a hidden dimension, a vertex that reconfigures the work in its totality.

Located at the entrance to the display of the Moderno’s Collection, in conversation with keystone works of Argentinian geometric abstraction, Miño’s pieces offer a rare and profound exploration of the uncertainty intrinsic to space itself. Straddling reality and fiction, his seductive images expand our possibilities of perception and invite us to discover the true dimension of geometric shapes as they are: infinite.
