CULTURAL PATRONAGE PARTICIPATION LAW POPULARLY KNOWN AS “MECENAZGO”

Mecenazgo [Patronage] is a funding programme created by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires to help support the development of artistic and cultural projects. Through the programme, taxpayers who pay gross revenues in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) can allocate a portion of these payments to support cultural projects.

Companies required to pay gross revenues taxes in CABA can support projects and receive a deduction of up to 80% of their total contributions and gain access to a substantial program of special brand partnership benefits, as well as the opportunity to develop exclusive experiences with the Museo Moderno (https://buenosaires.gob.ar/cultura/ley-de-participacion-cultural).

Current opportunities include participating in the Research, Digitisation, Content Production and Dissemination Project being carried out by the Collections and Conservation Department of the Museo Moderno. Given the importance of the Moderno’s collection, renewed research efforts are necessary to deepen our technical and historical knowledge of the works in the collection and to make them accessible on our new digital platforms.
