SURPRISING SHAPES

An activity for children and young people with autism

Art allows us to transform spots of colour or objects into different shapes, such as faces, bodies and landscapes.

Argentine artist Diana Aisenberg transformed one of the museum’s columns into the body of a character and dressed it up using many small objects.

We want you to think about the toys, clothes or objects that you no longer use and could be transformed into something else.

Surprise yourself with the result!

Use fabric, paper, paint, crayons and anything you have at home to make your new object.

Would you like to give it to someone you love and see how surprised they are by the transformation?

Share your “before and after” photos of your creations and your own surprised expression online, and tag us @modernoba
