La Fábrica, Hecho en Buenos Aires: El ojo interminable [The Endless Eye]

Chapter 1

La Fábrica [The Factory] takes you behind the scenes of the exhibition El ojo interminable [The Endless Eye], which brings together works of art by eight members of the Hecho in Buenos Aires artists’ workshop. Victoria Noorthoorn, Director of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires and curator of this exhibition, together with Américo Gadpen, Director of the Hecho en Buenos Aires Art Workshop, and Jorge Ponzone of the museum’s exhibition design and production team talk about how the works by this diverse group of artists were selected for the exhibition.

Today we hear from Iván Rösler, Head of Exhibition Design and Production at the museum, who reveals some of the challenges that were faced when designing the exhibition as well as some of the ideas that were inspired by the curatorial vision and by the work of this artist whose career has spanned more than 50 years.

Chapter 5: Elda Cerrato

In this last episode of La Fábrica [The Factory] dedicated to the exhibition Elda Cerrato: El día maravilloso de los pueblos [Elda Cerrato: The Peoples’Wonderful], we present an interview we conducted with the artist at the beginning of 2021. She shares with us some cues to help us understand her imaginary, the theories she has been investigating over the course of her fifty years of artistic production, as well as her different moments of her life and the cities where she has lived. Listening to this artist in the first person provides a vivid record of her aesthetics, political positions and of the imaginaries that permeate one of the major artistic productions of 20th century Argentine art.
