2023 AZCUY AWARD

The Azcuy Award is an annual contemporary art competition that recognises and promotes national artistic production while encouraging the visual arts in urban and residential settings and exploring the relationship between art and architecture. The initiative is the result of a special partnership between the Fundación Azcuy and the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires – an institution reporting to the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Buenos Aires – by virtue of the Azcuy’s participation in the museum’s cultural sponsorship programme as an allied sponsor.

On this occasion, the Fundación Azcuy and the Museo de Arte Moderno are pleased to present the 5th Edition of the Azcuy Award, titled the 2023 AZCUY AWARD: Donna Fiore Edition.  It will consist of an Acquisition Award for a large-scale work conceived specifically for installation in the Donna Fiore building, a project by Azcuy.

The invitation is open and national in scope and is directed at all emerging or established individual and collective visual artists who are either Argentinian citizens or foreigners who have resided in the country for a minimum of three years.

The jury for the selection and award of the Finalist Projects for the 2023 AZCUY AWARD: Donna Fiore Edition will consist of: Victoria Noorthoorn (Director, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires), Diana Campbell Betancourt (Artistic Director, Samdani Art Foundation) Sebastián Gordin (Visual Artist), Adriana Bustos (Visual Artist), Jimena Ferreiro (Curator, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires), Sol Juárez (Creative & Innovation Project Manager at Azcuy and Cultural Manager at Fundación Azcuy) and Gerardo Azcuy (Founder and CEO of  AZCUY).
