In September 2019 MARCO La Boca opened its doors to the public. One of the museum’s fundamental premises is to provide a working and exhibition space for contemporary artists, which functions as a laboratory for experimentation and creation. Through the program of workshops and residencies initiated in March 2018, it seeks to promote both research and the realization of works and exhibition projects, providing support to young contemporary artists. The museum works in close relationship with La Boca neighborhood and the Arts District, thus fostering the professional development and visibility of the residents’ proposals. Among its main objectives is to exhibit the Art Collection of the Tres Pinos Foundation, sharing with the community a collection of over 800 pieces. The Foundation conceives collecting through action, and this is how the institution becomes a means to facilitate the artist’s production.
