Vazquez Murillo Francisco

Francisco Vázquez Murillo (Rosario, 1980) studied Philosophy at the National University of Rosario. In 2019, he received the Creation Grant for his exhibition Movements around the sun. He was part of the Artists Program at the Torcuato Di Tella University in 2016, and he was awarded the FNA – CONTI grant in 2015. He has participated in workshops and artistic clinics with Diana Aisenberg, Silvia Gurfein, Mónica Girón, Eduardo Basualdo, Graciela Esperanza, Leticia Obeid, Diego Bianchi, and Santiago Garcia Navarro, among others. Francisco has carried out projects and research in various artist residencies, including Kaus Australis in Rotterdam, the Netherlands; RSDNART – Kankabal in Yucatán, Mexico; Nido Errante in El Chalten, Patagonia, Argentina; Marble House Project in Vermont, USA; Swatch Art Peace Hotel Artist Residency in Shanghai, China; and MonsonArts in Maine, USA. He has participated in notable group exhibitions such as Territory at Fundación Proa, Eyes in the Sky at Fundación Klemm, Symbiology: Artistic Practices on a Planet in Crisis at the Centro Cultural Kirchner, and nside, there is nothing but a dwelling at the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires. Francisco has held solo exhibitions in Argentina, as well as in Mexico, the Netherlands, China, and the United States.
