Azul van Peborgh was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1995. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, UK (2016- 2020). In those years she co-founds the art collective Young Modulus, with a group of young artists, and participates in exhibitions both at the university and outside the institution. She was nominated by the university for the Freelance Foundation Painting Prize, London, UK. In 2020 she receives the ACME STUDIOS prize and two-year programme, which she turns down to return to live in Argentina, where she publishes a collection of poems in Ediciones Microcentro, edited by Cecilia Pavón. In 2021 she wins the fellowship “Creación” from Fondo Nacional de las Artes and is selected for the Bienal de Arte Joven 2022, Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2022 she participates in +Feria de arte Santa Fe, Argentina, has her first solo show, Chupo una piedra, at TokonOMa Gallery, and is selected for the Premio Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales, Centro Cultural Kirchner, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2023, she is selected for the 8M Prize also Centro Cultural Kirchner and participates at the Contemporary Art Fair of Cordoba. Currently she attends the art workshop and clinic of the artist Carla Grunauer. She lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
