Juan Pablo Renzi (Casilda, 1940 – Buenos Aires, 1992) studied in Rosario with Gustavo Cochet and with Juan Grela (1960-65) where he formed his first Group El Taller. He studied four years of Biochemistry at the National University of Rosario, a career that he abandoned in 1962. In 1966 he founded the Grupo de Vanguardia Rosario-66, with which he produced exhibitions, manifestos and political actions. From this date on, he makes objects, primary structures and installations. In 1967, “Current Painting Rosario”, Castagnino Museum. Rosario, “Rosario ‘67”, M.A.M.B.A. and M.N.B. Arts of Montevideo and “Primary Structures II”, Sociedad Hebraica, Buenos Aires. In 1968, “Tucumán Arde” the multimedial-political work made by artists from Rosario and Buenos Aires.

He gave numerous courses and conferences; He attended biennials, conferences and conferences in his specialty. He made performances, audiovisuals, multimedia, videos and other shows. He was also a graphic designer and publicist. Between 1985 and 1988 he was a professor of the Painting Specialty at the “Ernesto de la Cárcova” Higher School. In 1986 he taught advanced courses on “Color Theory and Implementation” at the Buenos Aires Architecture and City Center. In 1991 he was Coordinator of the Painting Workshop of the Recoleta Cultural Center and of the construction clinic in Rosario. He was a judge in salons, biennials and competitions, co-editor of “Diario de Poesía” and art director of “Lulú”, a magazine of musical theories and techniques.
