Nicolás Pontón was born in CABA, where he lives and works.
He completed the Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts at UNA (2002-2007), participated in the FNA-Conti Scholarship (2014) and the Artists Program at the Torcuato Di Tella University (2016).
He completed artistic residencies in the United States (Vermont Studio Center and Djerassi AIR), Holland (Stitching Kaus Australis) and Germany (Neue Heimat and Zentralwerk AIR) and received the FNA Creation Grant (2022).
Since 2019 he co-directs Lacopia, an artistic collective and intermittent contemporary art space.
His works have been selected for prizes and exhibitions such as the Klemm Prize, Fortabat Foundation, Uade Prize, Itaú Prize, Williams Foundation Prize, Salón Banco Central, Andreani Prize and Project A Prize, among others.
In 2022 he inaugurates his last individual exhibition entitled Nothing more strange, at Acéfala Galería.
