Pereira Jorge

Painter, photographer, theorist and designer. He has participated since 1958 in the realization of Constructive Art in Argentina, putting into practice the aspirations of the avant-garde of ’45. In 1960 he promoted the creation of the Visión Integral group, which was oriented towards the most rigorous abstraction, experimenting with orthogonal structures and pure colors, and theoretical reflection raised questions about Art and design.
In 1964 he organized the Design Department of the Institute of Art Directors of Buenos Aires. During 1967 he began experimenting with Light and Movement and was invited to take part in the Cinquieme Biennale of Paris held at the Musee d’art Moderne. With a group of artists he founded the CEV (Center for Visual Experimentation) in 1970.
from Argentina that carries out experiences on abstract photography and Systems Art. He participates in exhibitions at the Di Tella Institute, Lirolay Gallery, CAyC, MAMBA among other prominent institutions.
Since 1983 he has been carrying out experiences based on the dialectic of forms that, with the inclusion of the geometry of nature, culminate in “Multi-spatial Art” in 1994. In 2017 AdS editors published the book “Insurrecto” that covers part of his life and job. His work is part of public and private collections in the country and abroad.
