Peisajovich Karina

(Buenos Aires, 1966) studied Painting at the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredón and in the studio of Ahuva Szlimowicz.
Between 1994-1995 she was awarded the opportunity to participate in Guillermo Kuitca Studio Program in Fundación PROA, Buenos Aires. In 1999 she participated in the International Artists Residency Program ART/ OMI in New York and in the same year, she received a subsidy for creation. By 2001-2002, she was a recipient of the Fulbright Commission / Fondo Nacional de las Artes Award to participate in the ISCP, International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York. In 2012 she received the Premio Konex a las Artes Visuales in the category for installation and in 2022, she received the Premio Adquisición de Artes Visuales 8M.
In 1997, she creates Solocolor, a workshop concentrated on the subject of color as a foundational substance, and in 2014 Nor full, neither empty: investigations about space, a workshop that was part of the Artists’ program at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In 2009 she participated in the 7th Mercosur Biennial, Grito e Escuta, Porto Alegre, Brasil and in 2004, in the Lodz Biennale in Poland.
Her work is in the collection of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, MACBA (Buenos Aires) and Museo Macro (Rosario), and in private collections in Argentina and abroad.
