Margarita Paksa was born in Buenos Aires in 1932. She has had numerous individual and group exhibitions in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Canada, England, France and Egypt. Among them stand out: Memory. Scales and Variations, San Martín Cultural Center, Buenos Aires, 1986; Margarita Paksa. Drawings-dessins, National Library of Canada (Ottawa, 1986); Margarita Paksa. The tennis match and other projects, Museum of Modern Art, Buenos Aires (1997). In 2012 the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires held a large retrospective exhibition that covered her works from the 1950s to the 2000s.
