Carolina Martínez Pedemonte (Buenos Aires, 1993).
She has a degree in Visual Arts from the National University of Arts with a focus on painting. In 2021 she completed the URRA Tigre residency thanks to the 2019 Young Art Biennial award. During 2019 and 2020 she participated in the Yungas Scholarship. In 2018 she was a CIA Centro agent and completed the Marco Arte Foco residency. She attended clinics and workshops with Pablo Siquier, Florencia Vecino, Gimena Macri, Gabriel Baggio, Mauro Koliva, Silvia Gurfein, Valentín Demarco, among other artists.
In 2018 she received the Young Stimulus Award at the VI Arte x Arte Award. She was selected for awards such as Young Art Biennial 2019, MacSur Prize 2019, Bonfiglioli Villa María Salon 2018, 13th UNL Young Art Biennial 2018, 62nd Manuel Belgrano Plastic Arts Salon 2018, Andreani Foundation Award 2017, National Salon in the categories of drawing and installation 2017, Project A 2017, among others.
In 2021 she held her solo show fantasyfictionmythoillusion curated by Larisa Zmud at Galería Grasa. She participated in group exhibitions such as Secreta Noche Nuestra, Rosas a.c. 2021; Solstice, Gunpowder 2020; Until you forget me, URRA 2020; Florecitas curated by Patricio Lanusse, Proa 21 2019; It was my luxury curated by Bárbara Golubicki, Festival 2019; La Baranda, Gross Space Paraguay 2019; Perfuch, UV Gallery 2018; Arte Bebo, Gallery 50, New Jersey 2018; Among them, MARCO Museum of Contemporary Art of La Boca 2018, among others.
Since June 2020, together with the artist Torcuato Gonzalez Agote, she created and directs Galería Grasa.
