(Córdoba, Argentina, 1978)

She is a graduate of the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón and holds a degree in graphic design and multimedia. She studied Painting Restoration at the Universidad Nacional del Arte and completed a Master’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Oil Paintings. She completed her theoretical studies with a Specialization in Art History at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and courses at La Academia del Sur. She specialized in different sculpture techniques, particularly polyester resin with the artist Leo Vinci.
Since 1999 she has regularly exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions in Argentina and abroad. In 2007 she had her first solo exhibition at Vasari Gallery, El amor según Lorena. Guzman’s sculptures bring us closer to an animal universe of monstrosities and bizarre narratives. With a naturalistic treatment and careful attention to detail, she works mainly in resin, but also uses bronze, wax and marble, among other materials. Her works delve into the classical tradition to reflect on contemporary issues such as eroticism, instincts and relationships with nature. They represent mythological figures, fantastic beings and exotic or deformed animals, hybrid existences and metamorphoses, endowed with irony and, sometimes, a dose of terror.
She currently lives and works in Madrid.
