Giarcovich Teresa

Teresa Giarcovich (Buenos Aires, 1979) studied Fine Arts in Rogelio Yrurtia and Prilidiano Pueyrredón schools. She participated on the Artist’s Program of Torcuato Di Tella University (2011). In 2003 she received the Foundation Heinrich
Böll / Puerta Abierta scholarship and in 2013 she participated in the Pouch Cove Foundation residency, Canada. In 2009 she was part of Currículum Cero (Ruth Benzacar Gallery) where she obtained a special mention.
In 2014 she received a Prize in the National Fine Arts Salon (Textile category) and in 2019 she received a Creation Scholarship by tne National Fund of Arts.
In 2013 she was one of the four finalists of Faena – Mercedes Benz Fashion Edition, where she presented a collection and a fashion show. Her work has been published in Harper’s Bazaar, Big Sur Magazine, La Fuga Magazine and Billy Farrell Agency, among other specialized publications.
She carried out the individual exhibitions “Musubi” (PIEDRAS, 2019), “La noche no es más que un accidente” (PIEDRAS, 2017), “El caballo pertenece a la tierra como el dragón al cielo” (Mundo Dios Gallery, 2012), “Nieve nardo salina” (Formosa Gallery, 2011) and “Monte” (Contemporary Art Museum of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, 2003). She participated in numerous group exhibitions in Museums and other spaces in Germany, France, Peru, USA, Spain, Japan.
