Marina De Caro is a visual artist, art history graduate and teacher. She was educational curator of the 7th Bienal do Mercosul (2009) and responsible for the educational area of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (2013/2016). Since 2000, she runs a workshop for artists and develops independent projects for the same community. She coordinated Proyecto Trama, an international program of cooperation and confrontation between artists (2001-2005); Videos Bastardos (2005); Consultorios a la Hora del Vermut, CIA (2010); Club de herramientas disponibles (2012); Escuela de los Sábados on the Investigation of uncertainties for the materialization of ideas (2018/2020). His recent solo shows include Negro que mueve el universo, MUNTREF, Buenos Aires (2018) Contra la gravedad, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (2015) and Turista en un gujero negro, Ruth Benzacar Galería de Arte, Buenos Aires (2011). In 2017 she performed her first chamber opera, El universo en un hilo, at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata. She participated in group exhibitions such as El círculo caminaba tranquilo, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (2015); Bienal de Montevideo (2011); Biennale de Lyon (2011). She is a member of the poetic militancy collective CROMOACTIVISMO. During the years 2020/2021 she worked on the creation of two projects of solidarity alternatives for the economy of art FONDO FLUIDO and COLECCIONABLES DE EMERGENCIA.
