Dal Verme Mariano
A4, 2013

Mariano Dal Verme (Buenos Aires, 1973) He trained at the Prilidiano Pueyrredón School of Fine Arts in the mid-1990s. Since the early 2000s he has explored different methods of drawing and resisting the conventions of drawing. His explorations in drawing converged into three-dimensional works where he manipulates the distance between paper and graphite to playfully interact with the viewer’s perception. That is, by disassembling the basic components of the drawing (graphite, space, paper, line, plot, white, black), it rearranges them in a new configuration, which includes a third dimension, while altering the usual functions of these components, even inverting them. completely. In 2002, Dal Verme founded La Re-colección together with Fernando Brizuela and Beto De Volder which was later exhibited at the Malba museum. Among others, he participated in the residency program at “La Ira de Dios” in Buenos Aires in 2017 and at the Península Gallery in Porto Alegre in 2015. He was selected for the “Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat Award” in 2023 and the Klemm Foundation in 2020.
