He was born in Buenos Aires. He was a painter, draftsman and illustrator. In
1937 he made his debut as an self-taught artist at the exhibition of the Ateneo
Popular de la Boca. He approached post-impressionism until 1940, the year in
which he began painting with a “magical realism“ style, expression he used
until 1943. That year, an illuminating circumstance called him to start one of
the most amazing adventures in the history of his life. He participate in the
surrealist movement since that date, always maintaining a position of
independence. At that time he met the poet and critic Aldo Pellegrini,
introducer of surrealism in Argentina and the poet Juan José Ceselli. Both
enthusiastically supported his work and established a deep friendship with the
artist. He taught and never stopped painting, especially drawing until his death.
