My painting discovers forgotten colors. I rely on the daily craftsmanship of slowing down the hours, preparing the canvas, and blending tones. There is an absence, a timeless twilight that appears here. The substance of things carries light weight and, without defining it, then encompasses the entire world.
The past times of the Argentinean coastal painting tradition and the history of Western art coexist within the sidelines of my work.
I am interested in the whispers of the town, the gestures of artists with common surnames, the small narratives. Like a collage of times that transforms into another, quieter one.
