Belleza y Felicidad Fiorito
Costume workshop taught by Mariela Gouric, 2009

Beauty and happiness Fiorito is a non-profit artistic and educational collective that has been carrying out activities in Villa Fiorito (Lomas de Zamora, Province of Buenos Aires) since 2003. The educational initiative began as an art workshop for children between three and fourteen years but over the years it mutated and expanded to more workshops and joint actions. Very soon the project became a collective of artists and neighbors, who began to make decisions and design the artistic direction of the project. Currently the activities revolve around three axes: culture, work and militancy. The cultural axis consists of plastic arts, literature, performance and video workshops for children and adults, plus an art gallery, a publishing house and gender workshops. The work area is made up of a screen printing workshop for printing T-shirts. Militancy is carried out in accompanying the struggles of the problematic neighborhoods of Fiorito and the development of the Gourmet Kitchen that operates every Saturday serving delicious and healthy food to 80 families.
