The work of Ulises Beisso, of a personal, autobiographical and sensitive nature, proposes to think, in terms of identity, dissidence and diversity in the Montevideo cultural context of the eighties and early nineties. From the SUBTE we proposed to reflect on the sociocultural conditions that determine the production of his work and we promoted the creation of texts, interviews and research that would allow us to think about his work beyond how it was technically produced. The exhibition features texts by Manuel Neves, Lucía Testoni, Hugo Achugar, Sergio Miranda and Ana Tiscornia, among others. Love, identity and sexuality are intertwined in a work that transcends particular experience to find its place in the beauty of forms, the fight for freedom and the right to be and feel.
