Bacal Nicolás

Nicolás Bacal (Buenos Aires, 1985), musician and visual artist, has a degree in electroacoustic composition from the National University of Quilmes. He carried out different work clinics and training programs in visual arts at the Telefonica Foundation and the Rojas Cultural Center. In 2009 he was a scholarship recipient from the Center for Artistic Research, in 2012 from the Artists Program of the Torcuato Ditella University and in 2014 from the Skowhegan school of painting and sculpture in the United States.
He has been working as a plastic artist since 2007. He has individually exhibited in Buenos Aires (Alberto Sendros gallery – 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2017 at the Ignacio Liprandi gallery), Paris (JTM gallery – 2009 and Gb agency gallery in 2013) and in Sao Paulo ( vermelho gallery 2013, 2018). In 2011 he participated in the 12th Istanbul Biennial and in 2013 in the 9th Mercosur Biennial.
As a musician, he participated in lile with whom he released an album in 2007 under the German label Monika Enterprise.
He is currently a professor at the National University of February 3.
He lives and works in Buenos Aires.
