The Library of Congress of the Nation guarantees the right of access to information, knowledge and culture freely and freely, and promotes social cohesion and cultural exchange throughout the country. The BCN offers a diversity of services, in its different spaces.
In the Palace of the National Congress, legal and parliamentary information of national and foreign origin is provided. Free publications are produced on issues that are being discussed in Parliament, as well as bibliographies, analyses, reports and interdisciplinary studies on topics of national, regional and international interest.
In the Public Reading Room, users can consult a vast collection of works that includes multiple disciplines, thesauri, encyclopedias, maps, publications from international organizations and multimedia material. It also has a room exclusively for children from 4 to 10 years old, where individual and group development is promoted through reading, educational games and technological resources.
The Newspaper Archive and Magazine Archive Rooms have an important collection of current newspapers and magazines from different periods, and an extensive catalog of microfilmed documents.
In the Cultural Space, free workshops and courses are held and art exhibitions, concerts, film series, theater, music, book presentations and guided tours are held, among many other activities open to the entire community.
