Pablo De Monte was born in Buenos Aires in 1960. Graduate in Visual Arts, National University Institute of Arts (IUNA); Postgraduate in Combined Artistic Languages, IUNA. He is a painting teacher (IUNA) and researcher at the National Museum of Fine Arts
His first individual show was in 1990 at the Jacques Martínez gallery. He exhibited at the Julia Lublin gallery, Art House, Loreto Arenas, Rubbers Gallery, Argentine Consulate, New York; Soraya Martínez Gallery, New York; House 13, Córdoba; Caraffa Museum, Córdoba; MACLA, La Plata; Banco Patricios Foundation and Recoleta Cultural Center. He is currently represented by the Jacques Martínez Gallery.
He participates in group exhibitions: Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center (UBA), Contemporary Art Center, Chateau Carreras, Córdoba; Soraya Martínez Gallery, New York; ArteBA – National Fund for the Arts (2001); “Discontinuous”, Recoleta Cultural Center.
He has received, among other distinctions: Grand Acquisition Prize, Foundation. Federico Lanús, National Arts Fund; Ternado, “”Young Artist of the Year””, Argentine Association of Art Critics (1998); Award for Artistic Creativity in Visual Arts, National Fund for the Arts (1999); Acquisition Award for Young Painting, Telefónica de Argentina; 3rd. Prize, Manuel Belgrano Hall (Painting), Sívori Museum (2006); 3rd. Painting Award, National Salon (2011).
