Visual artist, his work is developed between the disciplines of painting, engraving, drawing, photography, objects and installations. Born in San Salvador de Jujuy, he resides and works in the province of Mendoza where he arrived with his family of swallow workers at the age of one year. Between 1981-1986, he studied at the Faculty of Art and Design of the UNCuyo, with a specialization in painting. Since 1984 to date he has been part of the experimentation collective “Grupo Poroto”. He was a scholarship recipient in the Creation Stimulus program of the Antorchas Foundation 1993-1994 and the Proa Foundation Scholarship for Training and Development directed by Guillermo Kuitca (Buenos Aires) 1994-1995, where he also participated in talks and seminars with prominent cultural figures such as Alan Pauls (writer), Anina Nosei (New York gallery owner) and Achille Bonito Oliva (Italy curator), among others. In 2010, he participated in the “Bodegas Chandon” programs coordinated by the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection and the “Entrecampos” Mendoza program carried out at the Contemporary Art Space, directed by Fernando Castro Florez (curator Spain) and by Patricia Hakim (curator Buenos Aires). . Also in 2010, he was part of the Visual Poetry Workshop taught by Juan Carlos Romero (Buenos Aires artist), coordinated by the Interior Foundation at the Municipal Museum of Modern Art of Mendoza. He participated in Fairs such as ArteBa (Argentina), “Arte Americas” Latin American Art Fair (Miami) in 2005, “Interfaces Visual Dialogues between Regions” Argentine Contemporary Art (Salta-Buenos Aires-Mendoza) in 2006, “Expotrastienda” (Argentina) in 2007, EGGO Fair (Buenos Aires) in 2007, CHACo Contemporary Art Fair (Chile) in 2011, Affordable Art Fair México in 2014, “Interfaces: A possible anthology” (Buenos Aires) in 2015. He was invited to participate in “ Art Points” Biennial of Argentine Contemporary Art in 2010 and the IV Biennial of the End of the World in Mar del Plata in 2014-1015.
His works are part of the collections: Municipal Museum of Modern Art of Mendoza, Emiliano Guiñazú Provincial Museum of Fine Arts-Casa de Fader in Mendoza, Bicentennial Cultural Center-Gómez Cornet Museum in Santiago del Estero, Poggi Urban Museum in Rafaela Santa Fe , MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario) Santa Fe, CFI (Federal Investment Council) Buenos Aires, FNA (National Fund for the Arts) Buenos Aires, Professional Council of Economic Sciences in Mendoza, Interior Foundation in Mendoza, Fundación Mujer in Mendoza, Zaldivar Foundation in Mendoza, Patagonia Arte y Desafio Foundation in Buenos Aires, SAPM (Society of Plastic Artists of Mendoza), Municipality of Guaymallén Mendoza, and national and international private collections. Since 2004, he has been a member of the permanent staff of the Van Riel Gallery in Buenos Aires and the Daniel Rueda Gallery in Mendoza.
In 2012 he received the second prize in painting from the National Salon of Visual Arts, Palais de Glace, and in 2023 he received the National Award for Artistic Achievement from the 111th National Salon of Visual Arts.
