Favio Gutierrez (Villa Fiorito, Buenos Aires, 1986) studied a degree and teaching degree in Art History at the University of Buenos Aires. He trained in drawing with Juan José Boccalandro, in painting with Mabel Mellana and in sketching with Carlos Terribili at AEBA (CABA). He specialized in painting at the Lanús School of Fine Arts and in airbrushing with Cesar Deferrari (GBA). In 2019 he was part of the PAC Project of the Gachi Prieto gallery (CABA) and the CIA Antifascists cycle (CABA). During 2021 he participated in the annual MANGLAR / RUDA program in the city of La Plata and the Arte en Territorio workshop at the Haroldo Conti Cultural Center (CABA).
He participated in different group exhibitions in GBA and CABA. In 2018 he exhibited at the UDOCBA Visual Arts Hall and in the exhibition “Body, Society, Future” at the Avellaneda Cultural Multispace (GBA). Throughout 2019 he was part of the MAJO Salon of the Rómulo Raggio Foundation (GBA) and the exhibition “Testimonies of what used to be” of the Gachi Prieto gallery (CABA). In 2021 he collaborated in the group exhibition “More books for more” in memory of the CEAL in the Golden Hall of the Teatro Roma de Avellaneda in addition to integrating the exhibition “In water the lianas come together” at the Art Center of the National University of The Silver. He was selected for the Itaú Visual Arts Prize 2020 and 2021, being a finalist in 2022 and 2023. He received the Fundación El Mirador scholarship to integrate the Artists x Artists 2023 program.
He lives and works in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires.
