Rodrigo García Bes, was born in Salta in 1949. He studied puppetry, drawing, painting, ceramics and the art of tapestry with Carlos Luis García Bes. He ventured into teaching since 1976, both at the secondary, tertiary and university levels. In the last ten years he worked as a professor in the “Higher Technique in Textile and Clothing Art” taught at the “Tomás Cabrera” Provincial School of Fine Arts in Salta, until October 2017. Since October 1972 he has worked together with Carlos Luis García Bes in the artisan workshop “El Caburé” owned by him where his tapestries are made, until November 1978 when, due to the death of the aforementioned, he took over the workshop and began making tapestries with his own designs, to this day. He holds more than ten individual exhibitions of his tapestries in different cities across the country. He participated in several National Tapestry Salons, Salons organized by different entities and in other group art exhibitions. He won several awards in different Textile Art Salons nationwide. He collaborated in the Survey and Registration of Petroglyphs of the Province of Salta, led by Prof. Blanca Pastor de Landesberger, carried out between 1968 and 1969.
