Compiled and preserved since 2015 in the space she used to work, María Juana Heras Velasco’s personal archive is made up of a large number of very diverse documents: correspondence with artists, critics and institutions, postcards, diaries, documents from her teaching and political activity, notebooks, sketches, project folders, exhibition catalogues, posters, press articles, photographs, slides, awards, among other materials.
Archivo Taller Heras Velasco is the principal responsible of the preservation, management and investigation of the artist’s legacy. The archive research provided important information related to the production and circulation of Heras Velasco’s works and made it possible to prepare her biography, her Curriculum Vitae and an exhaustive bibliographic compilation. These materials are available on the ATHV website.
