Gonzalo Beccar Varela (Tigre, Buenos Aires, 1983 – where he lives). Between 2001 and 2009 he studied Architecture at the FADU-UBA and Fine Arts at the National University of the Arts. In 2007 he participated in workshops at The Art Student League, New York, and was a student at the Guillermo Roux Foundation between 2003 and 2006. In 2014 he participated in workshops led by Karina Peisajovich and Matías Duville, at the Torcuato Di Tella University . That same year he attended the ‘Art Hunters’ clinic, run by Alejandra Roux, Fabiana Barreda and Sergio Bazán and, between 2015 and 2016, ‘Cosmos’, a works clinic run by Daniel Joglar and Bruno Gruppalli. In 2017 he received a scholarship in the Yungas Project, Tigre edition, led by Raúl Flores and, in 2020, he participated in the workshop “The text of the work”, led by Silvia Gurfein. In 2018 he held It’s Another Thing, his first individual exhibition, at Galería Acéfala in Buenos Aires. Since 2015 he is General Coordinator of María Casado Home Gallery.
