He was born in 1973 on May 25, Buenos Aires Province. In 1992 he came to Buenos Aires, it was just a year later that he began to study photography. He studied at the Argentine school of photography, did workshops with Ricardo Torosian, Fabiana Barreda and studied advertising photography for 2 years at Foto Desing. He also formed study groups and shared concerns with friends and colleagues of the same generation. Since 1997 he has participated in many collective and individual shows. His photographs have been published in the book Rutas y Caminos, Nueva Fotografía Latinoamericana 2, Big Buenos Aires and Purple magazine, among others. Ignacio Iasparra has been distinguished as artist of the year by the Argentine Critics Association in 2005. Iasparra’s works are in the public collections of the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (MODENRO), the Museum of Latin American Art (MALBA-Fundación Costantini) and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario (MACRO), and in important private collections in Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Colonia, New York, Houston, Mexico City, London, and Oslo.
