María Rosa Andreotti – Santa Rosa (LP), Argentina, 1944, lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Working across visual arts and film, her production deals with the individual and social body, the intimate and memory. She studied linguistics and designed her art career attending well known Argentine artists’ studios. She was part of the NeoMuralists Group led by filmmaker Mariano Llinás.
Her documentary opera prima, the short film Ramón Rojas – Dreams of huts [www.ramonrojas-film.com.ar] was selected by the 24th Mar del Plata IFF (2009) and was awarded Special Jury award by the 2010 Philadelphia Documentary & Fiction Film Festival.
She has two other documentary medium-length films:Tapalqué (2010) and Queda la palabra, a portrait of Juan Carlos Romero (2014), and many experimental and documentary shorts. She received scholarships, grants and top Argentine visual Arts awards.
She shows in Argentina and was invited to show in Iceland, Poland, Chile, Hungary, Luxembourg, France, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, USA, etc.
Her works are included in public and private national and foreign collections.
