My practice is based on a dynamic that oscillates between textile work and drawing, and from these different material experiences I go through a personal exploration of the body and the relationships it establishes inward and outward, folding in on itself, or extending to bond with others. I work in a balance between two very different types of processes: the pure gestures, the chance and speed that I look for in the drawings, and the precise, patient and conscious construction of the embroideries and fabrics. From the representation of the body and its constellation of objects/artifacts that surround it from different perspectives -anthropology, geometry, fashion, among others- a series of relationships arise that I am interested in developing: the pose as a discourse in tension with the intimate gesture, the transformations and deformations of the body traversed by culture, age, motherhood, the domestic; the power of body language in the links between people and the structures of desire in the contemporary context and in history.
