\u201cModernos en di\u00e1logo<\/span><\/i> [<\/span>Moderns in Dialogue<\/span><\/i>] is an experimental curatorial exercise that seeks to establish a dialogue between the Museo Municipal de Arte Moderno de Mendoza (MMAMM) and the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires. Based on a comparative analysis of images, archives, exhibitions and institutional publications, the project will investigate how these institutions have constructed their narratives about modernity and their transition to the contemporary, taking into account their respective geographical and cultural contexts. The methodology is inspired by Aby Warburg\u2019s <\/span>Mnemosyne Atlas<\/span><\/i>, a form of visual thinking that helps to identify resonances, shifts and constellations between images from different time periods and contexts. I will develop thematic visual panels that bring together works, documents and narratives from both museums in order to create a visual atlas that operates as a curatorial platform. The project is divided into three stages: research and document collection; the creation and assembly of the visual panels based on the identified themes; and a summary of the findings, gathered in a preliminary curatorial proposal that can be adapted to the MMAMM. The proposal will be developed during the residency and will continue in Mendoza, with a view to producing a future exhibition.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Florencia Giovannini<\/strong> (1994, Florida, United States) is an art historian with a degree from the Faculty of Arts and Design from the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. She complemented her degree with additional studies in paper conservation and restoration at the Palazzo Spinelli of Florence, Italy. She currently works in the Document Archive and Research Department at the Museo Municipal de Arte Moderno de Mendoza (MMAMM) and is enrolled in the Diploma programme in the Management and Conservation of Specialised Arts Archives at the Universidad Nacional de San Mart\u00edn (UNSAM), with a Professional Archivist Scholarship granted her by the Archives Initiative of the Bunge y Born and Williams foundations.<\/span><\/p>

Giovannini has participated in different projects conserving and restoring mural paintings, as well as curatorial and research projects.
