Following the proposition she developed in
Soft Museum in 2019, it includes an overview of numerous earlier projects reinterpreted
and recreated by the artist in her exhibition at the Moderno. Following the visual principles
proposed by the artist in the exhibition, the book’s design provides an unmediated
meeting between image and spectator. It also includes a curatorial text by Carla Barbero
and Marcos Krämer, a biography and a fascinating conversation between Minoliti
and Nicolás Cuello, a researcher focusing on art practices and sexual politics, in which
the artist discusses the different theoretical and critical approaches in her work.

‘By making the space into a games room, converting the exhibition into a habitat for sweet
characters and creating a feminist school, Ad Minoliti transforms the Moderno into a
Museo peluche. They invite visitors to play with sweetness and learn about the worlds,
narratives and images denied by history. With these strategies, Minoliti’s work redefines
the traditional limits of what we call ‘political art’, helping to re-write its boundaries
and values. ’

                                                                                     Carla Barbero and Marcos Krämer

The exhibition Ad Minoliti: Soft Museum was presented at the museum
from 31 October 2019 until 1 March 2020.

["post-9879","libros","type-libros","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
