This publication presents an overview of the past ten years of Gabriel Chaile\u2019s artistic career, from some of his early projects such as Daniel<\/em> (2010), to his most recent pieces, Daniela<\/em> (2019) and Aguas calientes<\/em> [Hot Waters, 2019], with special emphasis on Patricia<\/em>, the project he made for the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires in 2017. It includes a text by the exhibition curator Laura Hakel, as well as selected fragments from a conversation with the artist in which he discusses his relationship with his home town of Tucum\u00e1n, the themes that inspire his work and the different sources that he draws on when making his pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2018Chaile uses austere materials that refer to basic social needs such as food, housing and work. He makes a mud-clay oven into a devotional figure, a provisional work space into a habitat and a builder\u2019s screed into a language.
