The exhibition was originally held
at the Deutsche Bank KunstHalle in Berlin, where only works from the German
collection were included. On its arrival in Buenos Aires these were joined by more
than twenty works from the Moderno’s collection. Works by such artists as Kurt
Schwitters, Max Beckmann, John Cage, Anna Maria Maiolino, Louise Bourgeois,
Marta Minujín, Gerhard Richter and León Ferrari, along with historic Argentine
artists like Juan del Prete, Eugenia (Yente) Crenovich, Roberto Aisenberg, Alberto
Greco and many others lived side by side in the museum’s galleries, engaging in
dialogue and activating each other in various different ways. Accompanied by
numerous texts and short essays, the publication provides an extensive catalogue
of images and casts light on the exhibition’s playful approach.

‘By combining with physical and intellectual experience, The Circle Walked Casually
provides an extraordinary perspective of the history of one of the world´s most important
collections of drawings made after 1945.
