Personal Maps

Maps are a graphic representation of an area. They function as informative documents that give an account of the world we inhabit. Some are based on astronomical, geological or topographical values, whereas others may be based on philosophical, political or even economic values. The Museo Moderno invites you to reinvent and transform maps into sensitive documents, representations of our experiences, emotions, or what matters to us or moves us. You can create maps of artists, places, people, ideas or objects of great emotional value to you.

Have a look at a map to see all the elements it contains, then create your own map based on your lived experiences. You can include memories, objects or people that have influenced your life. You can also incorporate events or places of a personal or historical nature. Include everything that represents you.

Make your map by drawing, creating a synoptic table, or any other way you can imagine. Don’t forget to share your results with us.
